In order for Kids of Heroes to become a registered charity, we must first of all raise £5,000! Almost like the chicken and egg scenario!
Charities receive tax breaks but are limited in what they can do and have to follow charity law. For example, you will only be able to set up a charity if:
• we set up to benefit the public (not you or a company)
• our aims are all charitable
• we have a group of people willing to be trustees
Once our charity is set up and its annual income is more than £5,000, we must apply to become a registered charity.
We are now looking for support from anyone who would like to help with the future success of Kids of Heroes. This will enable us to gain our Registered Charity Status, which will mean we will be able to create links with other organisations and further develop the Charity to benefit those who need our support.
If you feel that you would like to help those children who need our support then please make a donation. The sooner we can gain our charitable status, the sooner we can begin to make a real difference to the lives of those who really need it.
